Tax Time Income Tax Services, Inc. was founded in 1999 by friends, co-workers, and long-time tax professionals, Andrea Kennedy and the late Becky Portwood, with the goal of providing excellent service to every client.

Co-Owner, Andrea Kennedy, began preparing taxes in 1985, just after her youngest daughter started school. In 1999, Andrea and co-Owner, Becky Portwood, launched Tax Time Income Tax Services, bringing with them more than three decades of combined tax consulting experience, and a desire to provide their clients with excellent, expert service, in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Andrea and her husband, Jerry, have two daughters and two grandchildren.

Dana Abernathy came to Tax Time in January 2013. Since his college days, Dana has done the taxes, bookkeeping, accounting and other financial aspects for himself, others and the two successful businesses he developed. After he retired from his full-time career, Dana says he was getting restless at home, until Andrea and Becky invited him to add his more than four decades of experience to their organization.
Dana and his wife, Joyce, have four children and six grandchildren.

Tax Time's newest tax professional, Shay McDaniel is excited to put her knowledge to work. After enjoying her time in the office for a year as an intern several years ago, Shay was already familiar with many of Tax Time's clients when she joined the team. She continues to look forward to meeting and serving many more. Shay and her husband, Trey, have been married for nearly 20 years and have three children.
